Kayla Broady is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. From an early age, she decided Social Work was the field for her as she is a compassionate individual who is dedicated to serving and helping others. While she became a therapist to assist individuals navigate different stressors and transitions in a healthy way; she strongly desired to create a safe space and represent those who resemble her.
An eclectic approach is taken to ensure the needs of all clients are met, both personally and culturally. She relies on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Faith Based Counseling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Client Centered Therapy, allowing you the client the autonomy and ability to take control of your therapeutic experience.
She started her educational journey by obtaining her Associates in Human Services with Nassau Community College in 2014. Following, she completed a Bachelor of Social Work with Molloy College in 2016 as well as a Master of Social Work with Fordham University in 2017. She has extensive experience in child welfare as she serviced families with ACS Involvement who experienced trauma, truancy, mental health, neglect, and survived interpersonal partner violence. She also has experience in the education system as a School Social Worker. Lastly, she has practiced clinically, providing psychotherapy since 2020 prior to opening her own private practice, Broady Counseling LCSW, PLLC.
